You'll be happy to hear that I don't have the time for a lengthy post. Some interesting answers have arrived in equally surprising fashion but, with the season of giving here, there was one experiment that wanted to relate. I find it incredibly fascinating when there is clear evidence that my guides are working behind the scenes and responding to both verbalized and silent needs. For some time, my computer was becoming a source of mild irritation until my good friend Lyn decided to upgrade and casually offered it to me, free of charge. I went from using Windows98 to XP in one step...I feel like I've gone from driving a Pinto wagon (yes, I actually did own one) to a Cadillac and I am definitely liking the change. The really interesting aspect to this arrived a day after the offer was made, when I turned on my old computer to find an inch wide black border on one side of the monitor that could not be fixed.

The following experiment left me shaking my head in wonder and you'll quickly understand the relevance to the season very shortly.

Background: I have maintained a friendship with a couple that still lives in an area of town where I resided for a number of years. Their 12 year old son and I are on very good terms and a recent short visit displayed just how unique and special this boy is. After showing me his new pellet pistol, he left the room and returned, placing something in my hand, saying only, "This is for good luck." The circular piece of brass was about 3/4'' across with a square hole in the center. On one side, four Chinese ideograms were arranged on each length of the square while the other side contained two twisting symbols I'd never seen before. It was only after he left, that his mother expressed only mild surprise when I mentioned the unusual gift. She informed me that it had been a gift to him some years ago - for luck- and if he had given it to me, it was because he sensed that I needed it. One other piece of information was startling and only cemented my opinion that he is an Indigo child wothout any doubt. His mother told me that for one hour. every day of the week, he volunteers his time at the Boys and Girls Club assisting handicapped kids getting on and off the buses. Twelve years old and he has already discovered that his efforts make a difference and that they are done with great willingness. To add another strange element to this experiment, when I left their place that day I had forgotten a book and few CD's I'd picked up at the library, although I couldn't remember exactly where I had left them because of the numerous stops during the day.

Request: In light of his special gift to me, I contemplated giving one in return and wanted to know if it would be harmonious to follow up on this idea. (I've never exchanged gifts with him or his family before.) The sacred sign request was to be shown an owl, within six hours, to indicate that I should get him a gift.

Result: This was answered without any doubt at all and left me speechless. One essential aspect when working with signs is that we also have a part to play in its manifestation and that means following sudden urges that have no conscious source or reason. In my case, I'd been watching TV with a sudden desire to channel surf about 20 minuters before the deadline and landed on the Discovery Channel and special they had on predators. The show focused solely on the winged variety and mt spirits rose immediately. Unfortunately, the birds shown were eagles and hawks right up to the final minute.

There was an unusual question that came into my mind about whether I would allow a few minutes grace in seeing a sign revealed and the answer had been a definite Yes. Right to the last minute there had still been no sign of an owl but I felt amazingly calm about that. Just before going to a commercial break, they had shown a clip of some bird swooping down from a dakened sky and had only supplied that it was the best night hunter of them all. During the ensuing five minutes of commercials, I kept repeating, "What are the chances? What are the chances?". The first picture, when the program returned was of an owl!!!! In fact, it was the only segment in the entire show that didn't highlight a type of eagle or hawk. I had seen it within the time limit but hadn't fully recognized it.

Action Taken: This is also an essential ingredient after confirming a sign and my uncharacteristic forgetfulness created a viable excuse to return, which cancelled out any lingering nervousness. Yes, I did get him a little bag of presents, and while they may not have had much monetary value, they collected a lot of white light as I ambled around the store, whistling to myself. He was not there when I returned but I have the distinction of placing his first gift under the tree.

One other experiment proved to be almost as spectacular. I requested to see a spinning earth to indicate a course of action and was drawn to a show called "How its Made". I was treated to a segment that followed production of how they make globes of the earth. At one point, there was a room with a ceiling filled with spinning earth orbs on strings!!!!

The district attornney was examining a colonel, and unable to shake his testimony resorted to sarcasm. "They call you colonel. In what regiment is that?" "Well," drawled the witness, "it's like this. The 'Colonel' in front of my name is like the 'Honorable' in front of yours. It doesn't mean a thing."

"I don't ask or expect much of life," said the beautiful young lady. "Like every other young woman, all In want is a handsome man to love and understand me. That isn't too much to expect of a millionaire, is it?"

"Children, there is a lesson to be learned about the ant," said the teacher. "The ant works every day and all day. The ant is always working. And in the end, what what happens?" "Somebody steps on him!" called out one of the boys.

Johnnie listened to his baby brother yelling in his crib. "Mom, did he come from heaven?" he asked. "Yes, dear," the mother replied cheerfully. "No wonder they put him out!" exclaimed the boy.

Mary was saying her prayers: "And please," she implored, "make Bangor the capital of Connecticut." Her mother asled, "Why, Mary, what made you say that?" "Because I wrote it on my test and want it to be right."

Thanks for coming by and I wish you Peace, Light and Safety during this time. I'm beginning my week long shift in about 10 minutes and am looking forward to getting some projects taken care of. All the best of the season to you and yours. Nick

See you in the ether !

Wow, Nick, what an amazing experience you had! It's true that when we're asking for signs from the universe, we must be willing to pay close attention to the answers we receive - and we most definitely do receive answers. It's so awesome that you were given such a wonderful gift by that young man; it's interesting how the children always seem to know when we adults are in need, isn't it?

I want to wish you a very happy new year, my friend. I hope 2008 brings you only positive and beneficial gifts, and that your journeys into the ether will continue.

That's ok. :) It was ok & all, I guess, though now I miss it. It feels kind of as though it never happened...

I've yet to go back to school, & despite feeling bored out of my skull right now, I really don't want to go back to college. Place of abomination! :[

The tooth actually doesn't hurt too much, except when I got for long hours without taking ibuprofen, which is what I've been doing. Even then it doesn't hurt too much. I'm mostly worried about fracturing it, though. :\ I also get to have my wisdom teeth taken out someday; the one by the tooth that got the root canal is coming in at an angle-- right for the tooth that got the root canal. Excitement mounts. ;P

"Talk" to you later. ;)

Hi Nick. I'm so sorry to hear you haven't been feeling well. Maybe your body has just gotten run down because of working all the time? I understand that constant forays into the ether can have a physical effect on a person if they're not careful about how much they make these visits... Please take care of yourself, Nick...

In response to your concern about feeling threatened, no, I didn't feel that at all. We've had residents in our home since (before, probably) we moved in; if anything, it seems like they just kind of watch over us and make sure we're okay more than anything else. Our two cats (both gone for some time, now) like to come and visit us, too; when they're here, they play with our cat Charlie, wearing him out (I swear he has some kind of feline version of hyper-activity disorder LOL) so that I don't lose my mind trying to keep up with him.

Thanks for coming by to visit me, Nick; I really appreciate it.

No doubt Holly...for the last few weeks I haven't been able to get a decent night's sleep. I find myself "in between" and very active...part of it is the dream programming I work with. A major part centers on the changes I request and my spirit does a LOT of visiting when the physical body sleeps. My beleif is that we do have guides to assist but we can't expect them to do everything. I've got to do my part in setting things up.There are times when I flop from one side to another and I'm deep in conversation and usually helping in some way (I've been doing a lot of building for some reason.) What I find so cool is that my interpretations of the meanings of some of these dreams (the symbology)has become easier than ever before. Weird but I like it...haha.
